L'esemplare fotografato è di circa 15-20 cm, un esemplare giovanile che con le sue macchiette scure potrebbe erroneamente far pensare alla specie D. punctatus. L'esemplare in basso meno giovanile dall'aspetto classico.

The specimen photographed is about 15-20 cm, a juvenile specimen that with its dark specks could mistakenly make us think of the D. punctatus species. The less youthful bottom specimen with a classic appearance.
